INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE OF CSB

PLAYING CHARACTER FEATURES

When you just wear CSB HUD 1.09 and CSB 1.09 you’ll get asked your character’s work (primarily is "Apprentice" for everyone), your character’s gender and his race (elf, drow, vampire ecc...): available races dipend on the setting done by Game Master.
If the land in’t CSB-related, your choice qill be limited to Human.

On the main HUD monitor are displayed your character’s main features:

- RACE: the race you choosen
- LEVEL: fighting and playing in lands, you can gain experience points wich let your character to level-up, improving features ang gaining new powers and abilities
- EXP: Experience Points required to level-up
- HEALTH: Healt Points; when they become 0 your character will “die” and you’ll lose experience points
- MP: Magic Points; serve to use powers (heal to recover healt points ecc.); if they are 0 you can’t cast spells.

STATISTICS:

- FOR (power): This value varies betwen 5 and 25 (for high-levels) and changes the damage dealed with melee weapons (swords, whips, hammers, daggers, ecc...). Higher is this value and higher is the healt points you’ll remove to your opponent.

- COST (costitution): This value varies betwen 5 and 25 (for high-levels) and changes the damage suffered with melee weapons and launch weapons. Higher is this value and less healt points you’ll lose.

- AGIL (agility): This value varies betwen 5 and 25 (for high-levels) and changes the speed of your melee weapon’s strikes. Higher is this value and you’ll hit your enemy more quickly.

- SAP (knowledge): This value varies betwen 5 and 25 (for high-levels) and changes the speed you’ll recover lost magic points. Higher is this value and you’ll recover magic points more quickly. (minimum 1 magic point every 5 sec with knowledge at 5). Also changes the damage dealed with race powers, so Higher is this value and higher will be the damage dealed to the opponent.

Every 5 secsi of rest you’ll recover 1 healt point and minimum 1 magic point (depending on the value of the knowledge)

IF STATISTICS HAVE BEEN MODIFYED BY A POWER OR AN OBJECT, THEY’LL BE BACK TO NORMAL AFTER 3 MINUTES AND DURING THIS TIME YOU CAN’T SUFFER ANOTHER STAT CHANGE

FOOD and FATIGUE

When you just wear the CSB, 2 timers will start: Hunger timer and Fatigue timer.
Normally you have 2 hours to find food and rest.
When one of the two timers become 0, you’ll suffer a damage to healt points and the timer will restart with half time and will continue until it’ll be 0; then you’ll get damaged every minute, and your stats will decrease (power, costitution, agility e knowledge).

When you start to loose stats, hud’s text will become RED. If stats will’get to minimum (1) you’ll be unable to use powers and abilities.
ES: If you’ll get to power 1 you’ll be unable to deal damage with melee weapons (swords, spears ecc..).
If you’ll "die", timers will restart with 2 hours for the food and 4 hours for the rest.

To take a meal you have to obtain CSB food that you can buy with your coins or you can find it for free (fallen apples ecc., depending on the GM’s choices ).
In the surviving kit, you’ll find 3 chicken’s legs (each has 3 doses and each dose will increase food timer of 40 minutes). When you’ll eat the third dose, the chicken leg will delete.
To eat a dose rez the leg and click it.

To rest you have to use CSB beds and chairs that you’ll find in taverns and everywhere GMs want to put them.
In the surviving kit, you’ll find 3 stools (each is usable 3 times and each rest will increase rest timer of 40 minutes). When you rest the third time, the stool will die.
Rez the stool on the ground and sit on it by right-clicking and selecting“CSB riposo”.

- Hunger and Rest
( Server running)

- In this version hunger and rest are managed by server then they are different from land to land.
- In non-CSB regions, hunger and rest are deactivated
- Hunger and rest are deactivated in arena mode too
- When the character dies, timers will restart from 4 hours of hunger and 8 of rest

FIGHTING

HAND TO HAND COMBAT:
Hand to hand combat’s dynamics are similar to that of other meters:
Wear your weapon.
Deactivate AOs.
Draw your weapon.
Hold your left mouse button and move the directional arrows.
You can combat in mouselook view too.
If an avatar will get in your weapon’s range, he’ll suffer a damage depending on the weapon you used.

- COMBATTIMENTO CORPO A CORPO
(Tasto Combat ON-OFF e tipologia di arma)

- To combat, you must activate the combat mode by clicking on the on/off button on the hud
- You can say /9draw /9sheath in local chat too, to toggle the combat mode
- Or you can use the gesture CSB F9 (draw) F8 (sheath)
- In this version, you can’t choose the weapon type: only Sword(generic weapon) and Punches are available by saying /9draw,spada (for the sword) and /9draw,pugni(for the pounches)
- If you choose to use pounches, you haven’t to wear a weapon, because the CSB has an integrated Fist-Fighting System. (So, without wearing weapons, say /9draw,pugni and combat pounching the opponent)
- For official CSB weapons exist a lot of different tipologies, different for damage, speed, range and arc. You can acces this tipologies by buying original csb weapons from official builders you can find here.

- In the CSB vendor you’ll find all the official weapons.
- CSB weapons are the unique weapons with tipology dufferent from Sword or Pounches.

- THROWING WEAPON COMBAT
( Bullet deactivated )

- CSB does noty accept collisions from generical bullets, so you have to use official csb throwing weapons
- In the CSB box you’ll find an official bow to shoot your opponents
- There are different types of CSB bullets ( such as arrow, poisoned arrow, bolas, stone ecc..)
- If you use a normal bow or other throwing weapons, you won’t deal damage to your opponent
- The default damage rate with throwing weapons is 1 hit every 5 sec
- If you defeat an opponent with a throwing weapon, you’ll get less points beacuse will be calculated your level as 20. so, for example, id you kill someone with your same level, you’ll get about 1 exp instead of 10 exp.
- If the opponent you kill with throwing weapon is in 20 meters range, you can capture him.


CAPTURE AND ENEMY DEFEATING

When you defeat your opponent, you can capture him or abandon him n the ground.
If you choose to capture him, the avatar will get a text showing his state of prison and the name of who captured him and will follow the person who captured him until the capture time ends.
When capture time ends, the character will be free.But if you choose to let in the ground the defeated enemu, or you don’t choose in time, the defeated opponent will remain wounded fon 1 minute then he’ll come back to normal (after the wounds healt and magic points are very few).

POWERS AND ABILITIES

Heal, the spell available for all races, letl you to recover 20 healt points.
The included gesture lets you to heal yourself by pressing F10 key.
Also you can cast the heal from hud or by chatting:

/9 cura SELF

If your race/work combination lets you to have mor powers and abilities, you’ll get noticed in chat at the meter startup.
Basically, during the apprenticeship you just have the heal spell, but it depends on the GM configuration.

Pressing buttons you can allocate in it a power. Each button has an associated gesture used to cast spells simply by pressing the key related to the hud button.

DEFAULT KEYS=>BUTTONS

F2=Power Button Hud 1
F3=Power Button Hud 2
F4=Power Button Hud 3
F5=Power Button Hud 4
F6=Power Button Hud 5
F7=Power Button Hud 6

If your power target isn’t in range, the spell won’t be casted and you won’t loose magic points.

- COMBATTIMENTO CON POTERI/ABILITA’
( Nuova Categorie Poteri)

- There are different categories of Powers:

    -Attack: increases/decreases target’s healt points

    -Area Attack: increases/decreases healt points of targets within a certain range;

    -Stats: increases/decreases target’s stats

    -Area Stats: increases/decreases stats of targets within a certain range;

    -Regeneration: increases/decreases target’s food and rest timers;

    -Area Regeneration: increases/decreases food and rest timers of targets within a certain range;

    -Bite: does damage to the target and lowers/increases his stats;

    -Night Bite: does damage to the target and lowers/increases his stats, but works only during the night. if you cast it in the morning, it will fail and you’ll loose magic points;

    -Shield (only on yourself): it makes you invulnerable for a certain time.

    -Reflect Shield: it will reflect all the damage aganist the attacker

- To quickly heal yourself simply type: /9cura self
- You can cast a spell simply typing power’s name followed by part of target’s name. ex: "/9Fuoco b" will cast a spell on the closest avatar in range which’s name starts with "b". Putting more than 1 letter will let you to be sure the target is the avatar you want es: "/9Fuoco blukeydark".When the avatar is fount his name is put in the hud and following powers will be casted on him.

ARENA MODE

By clicking the menu button on the hud you can choose the arena mode.
This feature disables food and rest timers and exp camp, and when you are defeated you’ll come back to life instantly.

EXPERIENCE POINTS

CAMP:
As the GM likes, this function can be enabled or not. It’ll give you a certain number of exp every TOT seconds you are in land. For example, a land might give 5 exp every 20 minutes.
This function is disabled when you are in arena mode.

PUNTI UCCISIONE:
When you defeat an opponent or you are defeated, ar given or removed some experience points depending on the winner and the loser level.
The formula used for the exp calculation is:

(BASE_EXP)*(LOSER_LEVEL)/(WINNER_LEVEL)


So, if opponents have the same llevel, and basic exp are 10, will be given or removed 10 exp.
Iff a level-20 charachter defeats a level-1, he’ll gain only 1 exp.
Vice versa if a level-1 charachter defeats a level-20 will gain 200 exp.

The calculation is automatically done by the system.
If a character dies while more characters are involved in battle, point are given depending of the percentage of inflicted hits.

Ex: You are a level-1 and are deveated for 50% by a level-1 and 50% by a level-5
The level-1 winner will gain 5 exp (50% of 10)
The level-5 winner will gain 1 exp (50% of 2)

So, if you are an high-level character don’t leave your avatar unattended or you can loose a lot of exp!!!!


POINTS AND CSB TIMES

The default wounded time (unconscious) is 1 min (but it depends on GM’s choices).
The default camp is 5exp every 20 minutes(but it depends on GM’s choices).
the default basics kill points is 10 exp(but it depends on GM’s choices).

Levels:
1° level 0 EXP
level 200 EXP
level 400 EXP
level 800 EXP
level 1600 EXP
level 3200 EXP
level 6400 EXP
level 12800 EXP
level 25600 EXP

MENU

Titolo (title):
To set a title on your meter you just need to type in chat:

/9 titolo , THE PHRASE YOU WANT AS TITLE

(be carefull with comas and tghe "titolo" word in lower case... after the coma put the phrase you want).

The "MENU" button lets you tyo do a choice from a dialog.

Colori (colors):
To change tyhe color of your meter’s text select “Colori” from the dialog and select the color you want.

   arancio = orange;

   grigio = gray;

   verde = green;

   rosa = pink;

   giallo = yellow;

   bianco = white;

   fucsia = violet;

   blue = blue;

   azzurro = light blue;

   rosso = red;

To view the colors menu you can type:

/9 Colori

Arena:
Toggles the Arena mode
You can type:

/9 arena

Reset:
Resets the meter in case of block or problems.
You can type:

/9 reset

Tasti (buttons):
Selecting "Tasti" another menu will appear where you can choose the HUD button to recunfigure.
If the HUD button is empty you haven’t to do this.
This function let you to reconfigure a button you have already assigned to a power.
You can type:

/9 Tasti

Password:
Selecting this, a new password will be generated to access to the site:

When you access the site, you can personalize it.
You can type:

Dado (dice):
Selecting this from the dialog, you can roll a dice:
A second dialog will appear where you can select the face number of your dice.
You can type:

/9 Dado

Menu:
To get the main menu appeared, just click the MENU button.
You can type:

COINAGE

The meter has a coinage too.

Under the hud, in yellow, you’ll fing the amount of your coins.

MO= Gold Coiuns =1MO
MA = Silver Coins (10MA =1MO)
MB= Bronze Coins (10MB= 1MA-----100MB=1MO)

You can pay another character in 96 meters range.
To pay:

Clicking the coin section on the hud you’ll see a dialog wich lets you to choose:
- the payment target
- the coin type
- the amount
Than you can check up payment files and confirm it.

Paiment will be instantly for who pays and in 30 seconds times for who receives payment with local chat notice to verify.

Each payment is registered on land movements and owners can monitor this monetary transactions and attend in case of arrors or doubts errori.

SWIMMING

When you enter Linden Water (the sea of sl) you’ll start emitting bubbles.

After a minute you’ll start to loose healt points every 2 secobnds in apnea.
To stop loosing HPs you just need to come back up to water surfate.

You can do this selecting "Nuota" from menu and your avatar will start swimming.

Depending on the depth you’ll come up more or less quickly.

To move use directional keys. You can go up, down, forward, backward, left or right


Everytime you can re-select "nuota" from hud menu to disable the swimm (so you can walk and combat under water).


When you exit the water, the swimming will automatically disable after some minutes.
We advice to disable AOs during the swimming.

AQUATIC RACES

If you choose the aquatic race, you’ll emitt bubbles only on the land ground, outside the water.
Uan aquatic can survive on the land ground up to 20 minutes.
After about 15 minutes he’ll start to loose healt points. A decrease every minute until he comes back in the water.

OFF MODE
In this mode all functions (powers, combat, experience and CAMP) are disabled, so you won’t lag the land if you don’t want to use csb and you don’t need to detach it.
To enter the off mode (only from 1.12 version of the meter) go on the menu, select "CSB", than "OFF".


SITO WEB PORTALE INTERNET (premere sul tasto WWW sul CSB HUD)

Potete collegarvi al sito internet http://www.appliweb.org inserendo nome, cognome e password.
La password viene generata la prima volta che indossate il CSB (NON DOVETE INSERIRE QUELLA DI SL) e per conoscerla basta scrivere nella chat:

/9 password

Solo voi vedrete la password che sarà alfanumerica e composta di 8 caratteri. Copiatela e incollatela sul sito potrete poi personalizzarla dopo aver effettuato l’accesso, cliccando su Profilo.



Il danno da urto è disattivato quando un avatar è in volo (quindi caduta o collisione) durante il volo per permettere alle razze volanti (draghi, vampiri ecc...) di non morire mentre volano
Anche sott’acqua attivando il volo (dove possibile) si eviteranno i danni da urto.

N.B. Tutti i comandi sono case sensitive quindi fare attenzione all’uso delle maiuscole e minuscole.

  • NOTA IMPORTANTE SUL SISTEMA MONETARIO CSB

Il sistema monetario serve a rendere più realistico un GDR e non dovrebbe avere associazioni con i soldi reali o linden.

Gli autori del CSB non si assumono responsabilità sull’uso di questa funzione da parte dei Game Master delle land in associazione a linden o monete reali.

Ogni transazione DEVE ESSERE PER GIOCO e il sistema non è strutturato per responsabilizzarsi adeguatamente e monitorare tutte le casistiche che deriverebbero dall’associazione ai linden o monete reali. Dovremmo avere persone pagate solo per monitorare e garantire il buon esito delle transazione e così non sarebbe più un gioco e il costo del meter si alzerebbe a cifre non proponibili in Second Life.

NON VERRANNO QUINDI ACCETTATE LAMENTELE SU LINDEN PERSI O FRODI FATTE DA AVATAR! SE SI USA COME GIOCO NON AVRETE PROBLEMI SE SI USA IN MODO DIVERSO VI ASSUMERETE TUTTE LE RESPONSABILTA’ DERIVANTI!

OGNI PROBLEMA DEVE ESSERE SEGNALATO AGLI OWNER DELLA LAND IN CUI GIOCATE E NON ALLO STAFF DEL CSB.
